Founded in January 2005 by father and son, George Golka and Karl Golka, SellMyPiano.com was created and is managed by a family committed to piano excellence.

George Golka has over 20 years experience in the piano technology field, is a Registered Piano Technician with the Piano Technician's Guild, is a piano restoration expert, and has a Master's Degree in Piano Technology from Rice University.

George's wife, Anna Golka is a renowned piano teacher in Houston, Texas. She was named 2003 Piano Teacher of the Year by the Houston Piano Teacher's Association and is the president of the The Chopin Society of Houston, a non-profit organization committed to promoting Chopin's music through competitions, workshops, recitals, and master classes.

Both of their other sons are successful classical musicians. Seventeen-year-old American pianist Adam Golka, the youngest, won the 2nd China Shanghai International Piano Competition in 2003. And conductor Tomasz Golka, the eldest, was awarded 1st prize by a unanimous vote of the jury at the 2003 Eduardo Mata International Conducting Competition.
